Babbacombe Festival - 15-24 June 2012
Visit the annual Babbacombe Festival which runs for 10 days in June, on Babbacombe Downs and at other local venues. There is always a marvellous selection of events including art and flower exhibitions, dancing, markets, afternoon teas, beer festivals, regattas, musical events and much more! Cockington Fayre
Have a day in the beautiful 'thatched cottage' village of Cockington. There's always something to do for the whole family at Cockington Court and lots of it is free. The thriving craft centre is home to a variety of highly skilled artists and craft-workers, all of whom can be seen in their workshops demonstrating their skills.

Agatha Christie Festival - 9-16 September 2012
The world-famous annual Agatha Christie Festival takes place on the stunning English Riviera, South Devon, during September to coincide with her birthday.

The festival is growing year by year and the tourist board has a spectacular programme of events which will leave you wanting more. Why not take a trip on an original 1940's bus, or a river voyage to Greenway House where you can take a tour of Christie's holiday home. With the pristine landscaped gardens and an enviable position on the River Dart it is truly a beautiful place to visit.

If visiting Greenway isn't enough then why not try more events such as the Murder Mystery Dining Train, a Tea Dance at Oldway Mansion, take part in the Agatha Christie Mystery Shopping, or watch the production of Agatha Christie's novels? This festival has something for everyone.

19 February 2012 - Devon Pottery Collectors Group meeting (11.00am to 3.30pm)
The Collectors Group is an informal group of people who are interested in all kinds of Devon Pottery - North Devon, Honiton, Torquay, Bovey Tracey, etc. Two meetings are held every year where there are approximately a dozen stalls selling pottery, experts on hand to identify and talk about pots, two talks and refreshments. 10 March 2012 - Mortonhampstead Festival of Food, Drink & Art
Dartmoor hosts this year's festival with guest chef Michael Caines doing demonstrations. Live music and loads of stalls offering food, drink, art and crafts.  

4-6 May 2012 - BMAD Bike Festival, Paignton
Enjoy the live music, stunts and displays. Proceeds from this event go to Devon Air Ambulance, St Johns and disabled children of Torbay.  

20 May 2012 - London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay - The Olympic Flame is coming to Torbay!
As part of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Route, torchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame through Paignton and Torquay on 20 May. The exact street route will be confirmed later this year.  

22-24 June 2012 - Teignmouth Folk Festival
